Description

This unique Azilal Berber rug, designated as AZ101, is crafted from natural wool with a cotton weft, comprising 85% wool and 15% cotton. Woven in a traditional Berber home located in the Azilal province of Morocco’s Middle Atlas region, it measures 270cm x 140cm. The intricate weaving technique employed, known as the Berber knot, alternates patterns featuring a knotted line and one or two lines woven from raw virgin wool. This cultural ritual has been passed down from mother to daughter for generations, infusing each rug with a rich heritage and unique charm.
